I love SMG in MP. Single player, I'm a Soldier, and an Assault Rifle is my wife. I still like AR in MP, but it's heavy for the mutants, so I tend to go for SMG, at first, because that was the only weapon I had good upgrades for. I stuck with it because it's awesome. lvl 19 on my Soldier and my Turian Sentinel. Salarian Engineer only up to 10 or so I think though.

I use just my Carnifex Pistol in MP. I've got a scope on it and an extended clip. Basically it can kill any unshielded guys with 1 to 2 headshots and does good damage against any other enemy. So it's just that and my biotic powers. It's pretty great.

The real question to ask, at this point, is: Who'll be buying another Bioware game in the future? Because if people do, for once, put their money where their mouth is then the fallout from DA2 and ME3 could hit Bioware in the pocket.

I still have enjoyed every BioWare game I've played. I don't think the ending was so bad that I'd boycott them. It was just fell flat for me. Not the first time an ending has done that, won't be the last. But I'll probably be more willing to wait a few months after release and pick up a copy for cheaper instead of pouncing on their games.

even with my complaints for the last few minutes of me3, it's still an amazing game. there's no getting around that. i'm up for both me4 and da3. hell even jade empire 2. i'd fucking love that.

ME3 was still the game of the year (well, Bioshock Infinite could well be better, but it's definitely in the running), and one of the best games ever. There's absolutely no reason not to pre-order whatever game Bioware comes out with next.

Really? You don't think there's a strong likelihood that people will doubt the marketing, be sceptical of whatever claims are made about the game due to their experience with ME3?

(Aside from the obvious reason not to preorder - price, we all know it'll fall despite publishers attempts to convince us of the contrary.)

I'm not saying that people won't choose not to immediately buy in to the next Bioware product, I'm just saying that they would be wrong to do so. People are stupid, you can't fix stupid.

I spent another 4-5 rounds as a SalEng, lots of fun. I got my readiness thing to 100% in all quadrants, and moved from being the bottom of the pack to the top. I switched from the SMG to a scoped pistol, which shot my kill and headshot rate up considerably. I also got a lot better at annoyance tanking (dropping decoys combined with stealing enemies Force Fields), so I always got at least "survived 5 waves" medals, and only fell down a handful of times (rather than once or twice per match). Just wish I had a Carnifex instead of a Phalanx. I was the destroyer of anything tougher than tissue paper, stealing their shields for my own and then setting them on fire. It was especially fun when I was teamed with someone using Cryoblast, because my attack would synegize and make the enemy explode. I still have a ton of shotgun bonuses for someone determined to never use a shotgun. The "booster pack" model is pretty annoying, even if I am used to it from my Heroclix days.

I still think they'll do SOMETHING, though it won't be a rewrite. But yeah, those are the kinds of people BioWare and EA want to see, because all it takes is a couple of people suing them or making threats against Hudson or Walters for the PR people to be able to say "See?? The people who dislike the ending are all crazy!"

I read about that lawsuit the other day. So stupid. But I still think BioWare might do something to expand on the ending (I'm with Ryan in that I don't expect a NEW ending, nor would a really want that). If only because DLC means more money.

What the ending means for me is that I am less likely to buy the first week a game comes out. I will probably wait a month. I refuse to play The Old Republic until the gay patch goes live, in this case, I will treat Bioware games like books, I will wait until I read a sufficient number of reviews to determine if it is worth my time.

The exception is Dragon Age. I am the Dragon Age series' little bitch. I even like DA2.

I would have loved it if that actually ran at the end of the game.
