Hello:

Last year we had a drinking game thread. Since I
don't drink alcohol (only Coca Cola), I'll give it a
different spin.

I wish I had a nickel for every time…

… Steve Sensible gets on my case for taking my time to buy an Iphone.
… Ogul and Will feud
… Jim Ohara mentions his admiration for Obama
… people think I am robotic in nature.
… Alan Taylor uses sh*travens in his comic thread.
…Todd starts the weekend thread with a giraffe picture or that monkey slapping picture.
… I mentioned that girl from Yale in the relationship thread.
… I hear other MWers say unladylike.
… Bruce Gray uses the T-rex cartoon.

What do you wish you had a nickel for on MW?

Al...

why would I want nickel anyway? I mean, I suppose, it's an okay metal, but copper is where it's at. you can make wires out of it, sell them to a telecoms company then steal them back and get put in jail or something...

If I got money for every time a thread went off topic, it would be good. Kinda like how films can be good, what's everyone's favourite good films?

Ah, allow me to retort.

I wish I had a nickel for every time Stephen allowed someone to assume he's a medical doctor, assumes everyone reads his every post, and every time he misuses commas.

...for everytime I felt awkward reading what appears to be some kind of personal disagreement that's spilled over threads.

Fight Club. It's a grand wee film. They use soap in it. What's your favourite kind of soap Craggy? Or cleaning product to be broader?

...for every time Will made a baseless assumption? Yeah....

Nor did I ever, once, claim to be any sort of a doctor. So I guess that's 2 nickels for me.

I never claimed to be the sexiest man alive, but people do sometimes assume it of me.

I also never claimed to be delusional.

... I come into a thread, scowl when I realise I don't have a fucking clue what everyone is talking about, then click my out of it in bemusement.

You can shut off signatures in your settings. I did it years ago, and have never looked back.

You may be able to hide the biggest ones, I don't know. I did it to make it not so obvious that I was a comics website at work, but found the board looked much cleaner and easier to read without all the sigs.

If you are using the Cielo theme there is. Find the offending signature, hover over the top right hand corner of it and an X will appear. Click on it and select the "Ignore *username*'s signature" link.
