The Exorcist is the only horror film ever nominated for a Best Film Oscar.
Germany has been told off by the European Council because it still performs castration on sex offenders (although only if they volunteer).

We do?! I had no idea, but hey, cool.
No idea why we don't do chemical castration, then, though. Seems like the easier, less invasive way to do it.

Hello:
That Robert Deniro and Marlon Brando both won Oscars
for playing the same character. Deniro played the young
Corleone and Brando played the old Corleone.
Keep that in mind, it might win you a prize in a trivia
contest someday.

That's probably only if an insect falls into the can and dies.
I learned that sometimes dishonesty is the best policy. Or at least, the most lucrative.

today? You learned that today? then I guess that today I learned that despite his appearing somewhat cynical and jaded, Steve has actually been quite naive for the majority of his life in regards to truthiness.I learned that sometimes dishonesty is the best policy. Or at least, the most lucrative.

I probably learned it a long time ago as well, but I'm old and my memory isn't what it used to be.

That does seem more likely. Few people make it to be as really old as you without getting a bit broken.
edit: better put a wee
in there, just in case.

I learnt that you can do four factor discriminatory bodymass analysis using a BodPod, a DEXA scanner and nuclear isotopic dilutional techniques.
Also that I don't really like fondant fancies.

I learned that baked Camenbert can be amazing, but that it doesn't always play well with others, as an ingredient.

A lot of people consider SIlence of the Lambs to be horror. It's got to be close enough, right?

I learnt that regardless of whether they're the same type and amp putting rechargeable batteries from one manufacturer into a charger made by another will not only not charge the batteries, but break the charger too.
Oh and also that they don't make my model of charger any more, so I've got to try and work out which is the best (ie cheapest but not rubbish) of the new models. :\

Today I learnt that using a Stage 1 engine side-mount with 65a durometer bushings I can gain better control over motor movement without the sacrifice of excessive vibrations. This will illiminate wheel hop and improve acceleration off the line.

I'm always sort of pleased to hear that people don't like cake-type things that I do like, particularly when they're pre-packed, and fairly commonly turn up in selections of cake-type things that turn up at events. It's silly and self-serving, but if I'm not self-serving, who is going to be?Also that I don't really like fondant fancies.

Yesterday I learnt that Leonard Nemoy likes Downton Abbey. He really appreciates the high production values.

Today I learned that I don't need to take my shirt off for skin to skin contact once baby is born, I can just shove him up my shirt.
