Ran my first 5K of 2013 and the first on esince I had to take a couple months off to let my back heal. 26:33 on a slightly hilly course. I think 2013 is going to be a good year.

I never go into too much detail about unfinished projects (that's the quickest way for them to remain unfinished) but had to change my latest idea when I realised that the location was inspiring me more than the plotline. So now I'm working on a new concept set in the same place.

Went to the doctor for Roman today. He's got fluid in the ears, pinkeye, and possible flu-like symptoms. Rachel still has a rash all over her body. I think we've ruled out leprosy, at least unit a finger falls off or something. Meanwhile, I seem to only have a mild case of Awesomeness.

Knoxville/Oak Ridge people: I have an old Army friend driving through those parts this week, and I need a good barbecue recommendation for him. It's been too long since I've been home, so I have no idea. Caveats: Near the Interstate, and he's from Texas, so he knows his barbecue. Suggest!
