Probably less than would be expected because they are so thin on successful shows. But some.
NBC apparently allows a lot of shows to live well past what would be their due on any other network. Here's the "Cancelation bear" index from Tvbythenumbers.com
Our Renew / Cancel Index predicts potential renewal or cancellation for scripted broadcast primetime shows by the end of the 2011-12 season in May, 2012. (includes results from January 2-29, 2012):
Program Status Renew/ Cancel IndexPrime Suspect* canceled 0.47
Free Agents * canceled 0.66
The Playboy Club * canceled 0.67
The Firm
Chuck (F)* final season complete 0.69
Harry's Law
Community *
Grimm (F)
Whitney
Parenthood
30 Rock
Are You There, Chelsea?
Parks & Recreation
Law & Order: SVU
Up All Night
The Office
It's not official, of course, just speculation based on ratings and past trends. Community actually has a lot of hope for at least one more season just because it's at that point where a few more episodes would make it a better fit for syndication, so they can get a sweet deal on it.
[edit: the table broke, but you can find a prettier version through the link.]

I wouldn't be too sure of that. At least three are already on the bubble or chopping block (Community, Whitney and Chelsea) and Smash is going to have to do really, really well to be successful since it costs $4million per an episode.
It's NBC. If it's not a complete flop they'll count it as a huge success. Look at Grimm.

Great performance by Elizabeth Olsen, and an assured debut from writer director Sean Durkin, BUT...
I like an ambiguous ending as much as the next guy, when it's done well (e.g. Inception), but this just takes the piss. Don't ratchet up the tension right at the end and then forget about the payoff! It's like they ran out of film and then just said "ahh, that'll do."

Heh, I was upset/surprised at that after watching too, but I made my peace with it. I don't really need to see any more of the story.
i thought the ending was perfect after i got over my surprise. i agree, i don't think the viewer needs more from the story. we get it.

Me neither, but it was still a lousy ending. There was no need for the ambiguity.
