I think it was quick too, but the way he fell, Herb Dean needed to protect him from further abuse. It's a very tough call for any ref, if perhaps Fedor had fallen in a way his hands could have come up and defend himself better, perhaps it would have continued, but he fell face first and with his hands under him, leaving him wide open for more brain damage.

I'm real friggin' bitter right now, Fedor fights are my World Series and Finals and Superbowl rolled together, and this happens. @#%$.

Looked to me like the uppercut Hendo hit him with that knocked him down knocked him out. He ate a bunch of nasty shots but recovered a bit and after Dean had stopped the fight Fedor managed to turn over.

He didn't grab Henderson. He unsuccessfully tried to grab at Henderson's leg after the fight had already been stopped and Henderson was facing the other direction, walking away celebrating his win.

What happened to Robbie Lawler in that last round? Although Kennedy had won the first two rounds he looked pretty ripe for Lawler to go to town on him for a while there but Lawler didn't do anything.

It's not a quick stoppage when one guy is out cold landing face first. If Dean let it go on Hendo would have battered him even worse.

The only person who has obscured vision would be you amigo. I just watched it again. Once Hendo landed that uppercut Fedor went totally limp. Lights out. KO'd. Goodnight folks.

Hendo then landed three more shots, one to the right side of Fedor's face, one to the back of his head then a hammerfist. Yes you were right and I was wrong in that Fedor was turning over but he wasn't doing a thing to defend himself.

All joking aside, had Dean not stepped in Fedor would have suffered severe damage. Hendo knows how to finish from the top.

Rashad looked better than ever. That knee he ended the fight with was brutal. Risky move but he hit it just right. Couldn't have been done any better.

I would not want to be in the shoes of whoever the welterweight champ will be when Rory MacDonald gets his shot in a few years. Barring some kind of disaster that guy is going to be awesome.

Rashad looked great indeed. He did, however, slow down a bit, his cardio better improve to take on the younger Jones. When he had Tito in a crucifix, I thought about Jones finishing Matyushenko a while ago. Rashad couldn't keep Tito down nor do much damage (he did take a lot of stamina out of Tito from riding him so long).

Rory is scary. That dude is manhandling opponents. He tossed Nate Diaz around like a ragged doll. Now he finished Pyle in not an unlike fashion as Jones, for example again, has finished his in the past.

The other one I'm excited to see fight again is Ebersole. The dude is fun, fights good, and has a ridiculous amount of pro fights under his belt, that dude is not going to flinch in fighting anybody at all.

Very fun card. If you didn't catch them yesterday, remember the UFC is playing the 6 (give or take) first preliminary fights FREE on Facebook, we had a couple of very good ones. Ivan Menjivar is one of those fighters, try to catch his fight on mmashare.com if you can, VERY solid technique both standing up and grappling.

Can't wait to see Silva and Shogun fight again. I'd like to say Silva has it in the bag, but wrestlers have been an issue for him in the past (see Chael Sonnen et al.).

I didn't think he slowed down, just kept a good pace and didn't tire himself out. Unless things have changed a lot recently Jones does not have great stamina. If the fight goes into the later rounds I'd favour Rashad in that department. He has proven that he can go five rounds.

A lot of really young fighters actually don't have great stamina. Or at least they aren't as good at pacing themselves as veterans. That is why Stephan Bonnar was able to win the third round in his fight with Jones and why Condit managed to beat MacDonald. MacDonald was beating Condit's ass for two rounds then lost it in the third.

I know exactly what you mean about Jones, but I think he showed great improvement in his title fight against Shogun. Once he was in his guard and let the elbows fly, he kept a steady, if not frantic, pace until he finished him. His striking kept its power throughout until the KO.

I don't see Rampage beating Jones. If Jones vs Rashad happens, the build up and story line in the weeks leading into it are going to be the stuff of WWE, real personal drama just escalating with every interview and every sound bite.

Jones is the superior fighter, in my opinion, but to echo Rashad, man the kid is cocky. I'd love it for Rashad to bring him back down from the clouds a bit.

EDIT: I meant to say I don't see Rampage beating Jones above.

I also pick Jones to beat Rampage. I think he is just too much of a superior athlete for Rampage to beat. We shall see.

I'm not one of the people who thinks that Jones is some kind of fighting god though. Not at this point. For one thing from a purely technical standpoint his standup is awful. He lands punches with his wrists, he does fancy moves that leave his back exposed, when he moves around the cage he actually drags one of his feet around... but his athletic superiority more than makes up for his deficiencies. Or at least has so far. It certainly isn't impossible that someone is going to have his number. Lots of guys have looked unbeatable until someone beat them.

As a fan of the sport, I want him to succeed. He CAN become, to borrow from many others, "the Jordan" of MMA. He puts on a show on his fights, he has presence, overflowing confidence, handles himself well in the media, the whole shebang. If he can help drive MMA further into the mainstream, more power to him.

As a fighter, he is exciting and has not only won but demolished his opponents. I am excited to see his fights and he delivers. No lay n' pray, no zero-payoff takedowns, the guy is fun in the cage.

Jones doesn't exactly have a winning personality. And the fact that he ducked Rashad with the 'injury' thing doesn't help matters. And he did duck Rashad. The worst case scenario is that he was scared to fight him. The best case is that he did it to mess with him and deny him the fight out of spite. Neither makes him look good.

Sincerely do wish for Rashad to put his lights out. I think Jones has shown more skill and tools than Rashad, but man, do I hope Rashad lets him have it.

I think Rashad is clearly technically superior to Jones, he is just not the kind of athletic freak Jones is.

If Jones develops the technique to match his physical gifts he will be absolutely amazing, but he has a ways to go.

The Phenom is still in the mix and the speed and power haven't left him.

I hope he gets the rematch with Silva but it is highly unlikely unless it is set in Brazil as Silva's final bout.

Silva only has 3 fights left as far as I see it.

The superfight against GSP, A match for the Light Heavyweight championship, and rematch against Belfort in Brazil.

Shogun demolished Griffin. I think Forrest is done unless he plans on going to Middleweight or switching to Strikeforce. Even there I just don't think he can compete any more.

That was Rocky comes to Brazil in the Minotauro fight. I really thought Schaub would've collected another legend's scalp.
