Thanks Mike. It's coming along slowly - is difficult, not getting home from work til 19.30 every day, then working on the book. And I keep giving myself angles that turn out to be hard to draw ... but it's getting there. Am quite pleased with it so far and can't wait to show it off! But when it's done.

Building up my portfolio, did this sketch based on an article in the free magazine 'Shortlist'. Have mocked up the page to show how it would look with my illustration:

I like both but the colour one is very nice, the only problem is that you can't rally make out "Hunted By The..." against the sky blue background.

Thanks man, glad you like them. Good point about the text - am trying to work out how to make 'distressed' text in Illustrator, will alter the colour while I work on that.

I adore this. Have a SP I'm writing about a famous tiger hunter; I've gotten to spend some hands-on time for research, and have developed a real appreciation for the beasts.

Trying out 'adjustment layers' in Photoshop for the first time. I wish I was a colorist, I've still got a long way to go.



Just read Akira vol.1 for the first time. Good lord where has Otomo been all my life - that's the most visually amazing comic book I have ever seen. Ever.
